Background

Since writing his first line of code in high school, Tomer fell in love with tech and coding. Specifically, he was interested in how interwoven technology has become in our lives – and how that may affect us.

Experience

After finishing high school – Tomer joined Israeli military intelligence’s Unit 8200. Unit 8200 is the main Signal Intelligence unit of the Israeli military. There, he served as a team leader in charge of threat intelligence – the effort of classifying and keeping track of hostile nation’s cyber units.

Today, Tomer is a security researcher at Microsoft. Pivoting from an intelligence focused role to a more technical one, he brings expertise in both understanding who our enemies are, and how they work.

Leadership

As a Staff Sargent res., serving as a team leader at the Israeli Defense Forces – Tomer brings experience in team management, budgeting, scheduling, and more.
